Self Hypnosis Techniques

The ability to speak to your subconscious mind is a very powerful one. Using self hypnosis techniques can benefit you in dealing with stress, weight loss, relaxation, building self confidence and all round self improvement.

If you can master some simple steps you can gain much more control over your own life and can achieve things you would never have previously expected.

A good first step is to write down exactly what you want to achieve. Putting it down on paper will get it firmly set in your mind. Make sure you only use positive words so your mind does not focus on the negative…for example you would not say ‘become less stressed’, instead you could say ‘feel calm’.

Also you will want to make sure you are not referring to a third person when talking about things you want to achieve. Say ‘I will…’ for example, so you are speaking the first person.

Next you will want to relax fully. Sit or lie down comfortably and start to focus your attention on every part of your body. Start to consciously feel your feet relaxing and move throughout your body doing the same. Free yourself from all stresses.

Gradually count down from 100 as you relax and visualize the most peaceful and tranquil place you could ever imagine.

Imagine how you will feel when you have achieved your desired goal. When you do this you should be able to take it all in very thoroughly. You should be able to take in the sights, sounds and smells of the environment and create a very vivid picture of how it will be.

You should feel very relaxed and as you begin to wake yourself back up to the real world you should feel incredibly positive and awake.

For most people, self hypnosis will be very difficult, particularly when you are first starting. From my experience I would suggest you use audio mp3 downloads of a professional to begin with. They will follow a similar process but it is far easier to relax fully when you are being led into complete relaxation.
